The Frederick News-Post invites new business owners in Frederick County to share some details about their new venture. Business on the Move is a chance to find out more about what’s new in your neighborhood.

Dancingspine Chiropractic, a chiropractic clinic for children and adults, opened in Frederick at the end of October.

Dr. Angela Grove, the owner, toldThe News-Post about the new chiropractic clinic located inside the FrederickVolleyball Club.

What led you to launch Dancingspine Chiropractic?

It’s been my mission to make chiropractic care more accessible to everyone, and that’s my goal with Dancingspine Chiropractic. I also have a big vision of helping people live better and stay well through natural means. People are beginning to realize how vital the spine is to long-term health, so starting Dancingspine Chiropractic is my way of creating a healthier, happier community. It was just time to make it happen.

Tell us a little bit about the services you offer, and how this reflects your background in ballet and dance.

We offer affordable chiropractic care for whole families, children and adults. It’s simple, just pure hands-on chiropractic. My ballet background makes me a stickler for proper alignment and technique in all types of exercise. My dance and yoga experience make me more in tune with stretching and strengthening exercises for the spine. Eventually, I’ll offer a Dancingspine class focused on teaching those exercises. For now, its purely chiropractic adjustments to add life and vitality to the body.

What do you do that no other chiropractic office or practitioner does? What makes you unique?

Our low-cost chiropractic membership fees, as well as our focus on chiropractic purely as a means to enhance life, is probably what makes us most unique. We are the only chiropractic “membership” office in the area, although a few medical doctors are offering a similar system with their concierge practices. Families benefit from our membership system because there is only a small additional charge to add on a spouse or child. So the whole family can get the benefits of chiropractic care without breaking the bank.

Why did you choose to open your business in Frederick, and specifically what led you to the office on Georgia Pacific Boulevard?

I’m a Frederick native and always wanted to practice in my hometown, close to my family. I grew up in the southern part of Frederick County and felt there was a need for a chiropractor to serve the growing populations of Urbana, Adamstown and Ballenger Creek. I chose my office location within the Frederick Volleyball Club after meetings its organizers, who are retired Frederick County coaches. Being from a very sports-focused family, it just seemed like a good fit!

Why do you believe Dancingspine Chiropractic will be successful?

Dancingspine Chiropractic suits the needs of local families that want to get and stay healthy long-term. Because of our unique membership system and its affordability, regular chiropractic adjustments can now be easily included in a family’s health regimen, just like eating a good diet and exercising regularly. Dancingspine makes healthy habits possible. People understand that a healthy spine means they feel and function better, and doesn’teveryone want that?
