Living in Full Expression
We have experienced some big changes lately, particularly in the weather! Its amazing how we can go from -18 to 60 degrees so quickly! What a welcome change!
Our bodies, on the other hand, may not experience such quick and drastic changes. This is because years of unhealthy habits established over an extended period take time to clear.
Your body requires time to heal, reorganize and repair the damage from the past. This fact, based on universal laws, is reiterated in ‘The 33 Principles’ a document of life principles established in 1927 by Ralph Stephenson, Doctor of Chiropractic. An excerpt from the ’33 Principles’ states this:
“The Principle of Time – There is no process that does not require time.”
We should keep this principle in mind when we undergo healing and any transformation where we aim to grow, improve, learn or live differently. A complete list of the ‘The 33 Principles’ can be found here http://pureandpowerful.com/welcome/the-33-chiropractic-principles/
Why is the principle of time applicable to your life? What do the ’33 Principles’ have to do with chiropractic?
The body is super intelligent and memorizes what you do each day. Physical habits like your posture, and mental habits, like patterns of negative thinking get engrained into our neural anatomy. We even get attracted to foods and tastes we eat often. Unhealthy food choices, like foods that are too salty, sweet or unnatural can become an addiction. Why does this happen?
Think of yourself as a very intelligent animal and a creature of habit. If you continually teach your body to do unhealthy things, your body will soon memorize those unhealthy patterns. Just as a ballet dancer has good posture from years of repetitive training, your body has poor posture, abnormal spinal curves, restricted joint movement and tension due to years of educating it with unhealthy habits. These habits stress the nervous system and create subluxations in the spine. Subluxations interfere with vital messages that keep your body working at 100%.
Life, or living fulled expressed is not possible with stress on the nervous system. This is why chiropractic focuses on clearing structural interference so your innate functions are enhanced. This creates more power for your body to express life.
What is life? Life is living in full expression physically, emotionally, spiritually, socially and chemically.
Is your expression of health reduced due to subluxations in the spine? Are members of your family experiencing full life, vitality and function? Does it make sense to live with a clear nervous system to help you adapt to life’s challenges more easily?
We truly wish our practice members a life of full expression this Spring! Clear out the old habits and commit to enhanced life and communication within. Here’s to a fulfilled LIFE this Spring!
